So here it is. The beautiful artwork that will go on the cover of my soon to be released album. Andrea Christen painted it in oil and I am sooo happy with the result. If you take just a quick look at what the big names in heavy metal currently use for their covers you will probably immediately understand why I think this cover is so amazing. Terms like distinct, characteristic, significant, meaning, context and craftsmanship come to mind when you look at Andrea’s work. Qualities so often left to be desired on “modern” metal album artworks and replaced by meaningless gradients and complementary contrasts.
